Hattar Elected President of CLM’s New York City Chapter


Jacqueline Hattar (Partner-White Plains) has been elected president of the New York City chapter of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM), an inclusive, collaborative national organization that promotes and furthers the highest standards of claims and litigation management and brings together thought leaders in both industries. The CLM has approximately 20,000 members and fellows, including risk and litigation managers, insurance and claims professionals, corporate counsel, outside counsel and third-party vendors.

In her position, Ms. Hattar will work with the CLM chairs for New York State and oversee the NYC chapter, including recruitment of new members, event planning, educational programs, cultivating vendor sponsorship and fostering communication among all in the industry.

Ms. Hattar, an experienced litigator, is a member of Wilson Elser’s General Liability & Casualty practice, Municipal Law practice, and Transportation, Cargo & Logistics practice. She also serves on Wilson Elser’s Diversity Committee. Ms. Hattar currently serves as a director of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York. She is a member of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association’s Executive Committee and co-chairs its Litigation, Public Relations, and Diversity committees. Additionally, she is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), including the NYSBA’s Women in the Law Committee, and the New York City Bar Association.

By judicial appointment, Ms. Hattar serves as a member of the Ninth Judicial District Committee to Promote Gender Fairness in the Courts. A local offshoot of the New York State Committee on Women in the Courts, it includes judges and lawyers, and works to address issues involving gender bias. The Ninth Judicial District comprises Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Putnam and Orange counties in New York.
