Wilson Elser’s Houston Office Builds Houses for Habitat for Humanity

April 25, 2013

Attorneys from Wilson Elser’s Houston office participated in the Houston Bar Association’s (HBA) Habitat for Humanity project on Saturday, April 6, 2013. Six Wilson Elser volunteers rolled up their sleeves and donned their hammers to help build houses in the Harrel Park community, where Habitat for Humanity has 111 lots for development. Wilson Elser assisted on Day 1 of the HBA Habitat for Humanity build, which will continue throughout the spring and summer of 2013. Volunteers helped raise the walls of the house, install mudsill anchors and hurricane straps, and begin bracing the frame.

The Houston Bar Association has a designated committee that oversees the fundraising and volunteer efforts for the building of the 16th Habitat for Humanity House.
