Pernicone Voices Energy Producers’ Opposition to Massachusetts’s Proposed Fracking Moratorium

December 5, 2013

In an article entitled, “Mass. Fracking Ban Could Fuel Resistance Across State Lines,” Sean McLernon, a staff writer for Law360, posits that Massachusetts’s proposed 10-year fracking moratorium won’t have much effect in a state with “little development potential.” However, according to Wilson Elser’s Carl Pernicone (Partner-New York), the industry wants to “develop a united front here where they can take a strong position.” Recognizing that a reactive approach is failing, the industry is being much more proactive, Pernicone said.
