Tucker to Testify before Senate Indian Affairs Committee

James T. Tucker (Of Counsel-Las Vegas) has been asked to appear before the Indian Affairs Committee of the United States Senate to testify at an oversight hearing on “Making Indian Country Count: Native Americans and the 2020 Census.” Jim’s February 14, 2018, testimony will focus on current challenges for enumeration of the American Indian and Alaska Native population based on recent Census developments and appropriations issues. A member of the firm’s Native Nations practice, Jim also is a member of the 32-person National Advisory Committee appointed by the director of the U.S. Census Bureau to provide input on race, ethnicity and other categories for improved census operations, survey and data collection methods.
