Del Gatto and Behr Lead Team to Close $40 Million Strategic Acquisition of U.S. Non-Asset-Based Third-Party Logistics Provider
Brian Del Gatto (Partner-Phoenix, AZ) and William Behr (Partner-New York, NY), members of the firm’s Transportation Practice/Cargo & Logistics and Mergers & Acquisitions Practice/Strategic Transactions, respectively, with support from more than a half dozen other firm members, assisted the Mullen Group Ltd., a top-five Canadian transportation and logistics family of companies, in its successful purchase of a third-party logistics business from Quad/Graphics, Inc., marketing solutions partner. The $40 million transaction was closed on an accelerated timeline and brings a business with annual gross revenue of approximately $135 million under the Mullen Group’s umbrella. This was Mullen’s first venture into the United States and gives the transportation giant a foothold to begin building its business here.
