National Trial Team Reenactment Enlightens Next Generation of Trial Lawyers

August 18, 2022

On July 21, 2022, Wilson Elser’s National Trial Team (NTT) conducted a trial reenactment, a vital component of the NTT’s curriculum. Organized by NTT co-chairs Stratton Horres, Eugene Boulé and Mathew Ross, the reenactment program was led by experienced trial lawyers Karen Bashor, Alan Friedberg, Bert Goodson and Kathleen Warin. 2022 Mock Trial Training Program graduate Erin Zecca also participated, along with of counsel Jennifer Provost and Gregory Regensburg and associate Patricia Wik

Designed to educate junior attorneys on strategies deployed in a civil jury trial, the reenactment included modules on jury selection, introduction of facts, opening statements, use of deposition discovery, direct examination of fact witnesses, qualifying expert witnesses and closing arguments. The reenactments in each module were followed by a discussion led by one or more of the NTT members. Attendees learned firsthand about the fundamentals and nuances of trial advocacy.
