Insurance Journal Quotes Meer on the Risks Surrounding ESG Claims

Jonathan Meer (Partner-New York, NY) was quoted in an article in the February 6, 2023, edition of Insurance Journal regarding lawsuits over companies overstating their ESG practices. The article, “10 Emerging Risks & Markets to Know About,” referenced an earlier Insurance Journal podcast featuring Jonathan in which he advised clients to look closely at the ESG claims being made. “Are you going to walk the walk? Are you going to … have diversity in the workforce and actually do something about it? Are you going to try to have the best cyber policies as you say?” he asked. “Or are you just saying it to get the companies to feel better about you … that’s where the potential concerns come in.”
