David Ross (Partner-Washington, DC), co-chair of Wilson Elser’s Class Action Practice, will present a webinar titled “Data Breach Class Actions 101,” on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. ET. On Day Two of Wilson Elser’s Cyber Privacy Week, David will provide a baseline understanding of these types of class actions, which are being filed with increasing frequency in the United States. The webinar summarizes the foundation of data breach class actions, providing the basics and common strategies in managing the cases. David will describe how data breach class actions are procedurally and substantively different than other types of litigation. He will highlight the key issues to address, including early case resolution or case narrowing and other considerations, with a focus on defense and settlement strategies that should be considered, depending on the circumstances of the case.
