Kearns Gives Presentation on Ethics to the San Diego Defense Lawyers Association

On January 10, 2012, Patrick Kearns (Associate-San Diego) gave a presentation entitled “California Ethics Primer: A Review of the Ethics Rules You Need to Know,” to the San Diego Defense Lawyers Association. The presentation was a review and analysis of the major ethics rules which guide and govern California legal practitioners. The presentation was well-attended, with standing room only.
Mr. Kearns is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association's Legal Ethics Committee and was recently selected as the secretary of that organization. The San Diego Legal Ethics committee is an exclusive committee dedicated to upholding the high ethical standards and professionalism in the Southern California legal communities. The committee provides advice on proposed ethical opinions, rules and legislation to the San Diego County Bar Board; issues its own ethical opinions; and often provides MCLE seminars for various groups and organizations in the community. He speaks frequently on matters of legal ethics and related issues.
