Wilson Elser Promotes 12 Attorneys to Partner

NEW YORK (March 9, 2016) – National law firm Wilson Elser is pleased to announce the promotion of 14 attorneys to partner.

Albany

Alissa Yohey, formerly of counsel, represents clients on liquor licensing matters and in general corporate counseling and real estate transactions. She earned her B.A. degree from The College of Saint Rose (1997) and her J.D. degree from Albany Law School (2001).

Chicago

Geoffrey Belzer, formerly of counsel, is a litigator who concentrates on the defense of professional liability, cyber liability and complex commercial claims. He graduated with his B.S. degree from Northwestern University (1987) and his J.D. degree from University of Akron School of Law (2000).

New York Metro

William Behr (New York City), formerly of counsel, concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, commercial transactions and securities offerings, working with clients to manage their risks and anticipate issues to minimize liability. He earned his A.B. degree from Harvard University (1987) and his J.D. degree from Columbia Law School (1996).

Joshua Cash (New York City), formerly an associate, is a civil litigator who focuses his practice on general liability and casualty law, with a strong emphasis on defending premises liability matters. He earned a B.S. degree from Pennsylvania State University (2003) and a J.D. degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center (2006). He also has an M.B.A. degree from Long Island University – C.W. Post Campus (2007).

Stephanie Freeman (New York City), formerly an associate, defends high-exposure, complex medical malpractice claims brought against health care systems, hospitals, nursing homes, and health care professionals. She earned her B.B.A. degree from Emory University Goizueta Business School (2001) and her J.D. degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (2004).

Lindsay Kalick (White Plains), formerly an associate, is a civil litigator with experience defending general liability claims in the transportation, construction and premises liability and security industries. Her clients have included trucking companies involved in transport operations, insurance carriers, property owners and tenants, retail chains and institutional clients in high-exposure personal injury lawsuits throughout the state.  She earned a B.A. degree from University of Pennsylvania (2003) and her J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School (2006).>

Andrew Levinson (New York City), formerly an associate, concentrates on defending insurance carriers and real estate professionals in negligence-based claims in the real estate, construction, transportation and manufacturing industries. He is experienced in coverage issues and provides coverage opinions to insurance clients. He earned a B.A. degree from University of Michigan (2003) and a J.D. degree from New York Law School (2006).

Raymond Perez (White Plains), formerly of counsel, defends and represents manufacturers of various products, both domestically and internationally, and as national counsel and counsel of record in state and federal courts across the United States.  His practice also involves handling class actions, appeals, recall-related issues, regulatory compliance and insurance-related matters, as well as defending marine product liability cases.  He graduated cum laude from Iona College with a B.A. degree (1995) and earned a J.D. degree from Pace University School of Law (2000). He also obtained an International Law Certificate from Pace University School of Law.

Emily Policano (New York City), formerly an associate, has a diverse practice in the area of general liability, including high-exposure construction accidents, property damage claims and premises liability claims. She is also experienced in Labor Law issues and primarily serves property owners, construction management firms, general contractors and commercial tenants. She earned her B.S. degree from University of Wisconsin–Madison (2002) and graduated cum laude with her J.D. degree from New York Law School.

Milwaukee

John Loringer, formerly of counsel, is an experienced civil trial attorney who focuses his practice on first-party property claims, product liability and toxic tort litigation, including the defense of manufacturers, suppliers and contractors in asbestos-related personal injury and wrongful death actions. He earned his B.A. degree from Marquette University (1998) and his J.D. degree from Santa Clara University School of Law (2002).

Los Angeles

Ashley Morris, formerly of counsel, maintains a diverse practice that includes matters categorized as general liability, employment, product liability, personal injury, landlord/tenant, breach of contract, regulatory compliance for energy and telecommunications companies, and appeals. She earned her B.A. degree from California State University, Northridge (1999) and her J.D. degree from Southwestern Law School (2002).
