Dan Brunson (Of Counsel-Chicago, IL), who serves as National Quality Assurance & Control Lead at Wilson Elser, will join a panel titled “Extra-Contractual – Get Your Bad Faith Voir Dire in Gear!” at CLM’s Focus Conference to be held December 1, 2022, in New York City. The panel will address how voir dire in a bad faith case differs from those in underlying cases, and the reasons why. Dan and the other panelists will discuss various voir dire techniques and objectives combining legal and psychological methods and perspectives. The session will include a discussion on how the strategy of defending an insurance company on trial includes a methodology that mitigates juror bias in order to extract specific information from jurors regarding perceptions of the claims-handling process.
