The guest speakers, Laura Troops, editor in chief of American Agent and Broker, Scott G. Hammesfahr, cyber underwriter with Zurich North America, and Ms. Nugent, will present examples of actual losses from cyber breaches, highlighting the exposures that businesses face. They will also share simple steps that can be taken to prepare for and mitigate cyber losses, as well as provide tips for protecting businesses and their clients. The webinar will be moderated by director of strategic content for Summit Business Media, Elliot Markowitz.
About the Speaker
Ms. Nugent is a pioneer in data security and privacy law. She works closely with her clients to evaluate and mitigate risks related to computer use and misuse, including preparing privacy and security policies and procedures, evaluating vendor privacy and security, responding to and recovering from data breaches when they occur, addressing privacy and security with regulators, and defending against privacy and security litigation. Breach solutions that Ms. Nugent has crafted have been highlighted in the press as examples best practices, and have found favor among regulators. Ms. Nugent has considerable experience defending privacy and data breach class actions. She regularly speaks and publishes on cyber issues, and has co-authored a leading treatise on the topic.
