Scott Schaffer (Partner-New York), co-chair of this CLE program and the bar association’s D&O Insurance Committee, will be moderating and presenting on a panel discussing securities class actions and derivative actions, and the D&O insurance implications for each proceeding.
The panel will address:
- “A&B”, “ABC”, and Side “A” D&O insurance policy provisions and triggers
- Violation of federal securities laws, and breach of fiduciary duties
- Whether to coordinate (or not to coordinate) securities class actions and derivative actions
- Securities class damages, corporate governance and other monetary relief
The panel of professionals will provide their insights on present and future exposures facing directors and officers, the D&O marketplace, recent legal developments and the impact of coverage defenses on claim resolution.
