William Hake (Partner-San Francisco) is a guest faculty member at the Harvard Law School Winter 2018 Trial Advocacy Workshop, held January 2−19, 2018, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Bill will demonstrate the role of the defendant's lawyer during the cross examination of a witness in successive presentations. The course focuses on the task of the trial lawyer to create in the consciousness of the fact-finders the precise fact picture that reflects the lawyer's version of the case. The workshop includes simulated exercises on all aspects of in-court trial practice, including opening statements, development of witness testimony on direct and cross examination, use of illustrative aids and exhibits in evidence, impeachment, expert testimony and summations.
