Peter Dahl is a civil litigator with substantial experience representing insurers, insureds, and businesses in complex and catastrophic injury litigation in state and federal courts. His practice at Wilson Elser includes representing a national technology company.
Before joining Wilson Elser, Peter was senior trial counsel for a major international insurer, handling complex matters, including wrongful death, product liability, subrogation actions, and contractual risk transfer claims, through all stages of litigation, including trial. He also took a lead role in implementing litigation-focused technologies, including emerging artificial intelligence tools, across the organization.
Peter has successfully represented clients at trial, taking numerous cases to verdict in a wide range of matters, including premises liability, automobile liability, property damage, extracontractual liability, and contractual indemnification disputes.
Peter obtained one of the largest remittiturs in New Jersey state court history, reducing a verdict to 1 percent of the original award. He has also recovered tens of millions of dollars in subrogation actions throughout his career.
