Webinar
Richard W. Boone, Jr. (Partner-New York, NY) will co-present a 90-minute CLE webinar entitled "Political Violence and War Risk Insurance: Coverage for Overseas Projects, Revenue Exposure, Global Supply Chains.” Richard provides a practical overview of political risk, political violence, and war risk insurance for in-house counsel, outside attorneys, and insurance practitioners – whether representing insureds or insurers – whose clients or insureds have overseas operations, revenues, or supply chains exposed to civil unrest, terrorism, or armed conflict. Richard will then explain why standard commercial property and business interruption policies generally fail to respond to these losses and why the federal Terrorism Risk Insurance Program does not fill those gaps. He will examine three specialty products: political risk insurance, political violence coverage, and war risk coverage. The session also will address strategies for documenting and presenting claims to maximize recovery, offering guidance relevant to counsel on both sides of the coverage relationship.
