Robert Chance represents various corporations, not-for-profit organizations, and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation. His practice focuses on the defense of claims involving general liability, with an emphasis on transportation litigation. Rob also defends various matters related to property and general casualty. He effectively handles cases from inception through resolution and has successfully litigated matters in state courts throughout New York and New Jersey.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Rob gained valuable litigation and courtroom experience at a New York defense firm specializing in civil liability and insurance matters. In addition, Rob completed a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Kevin T. Smith in the New Jersey Superior Court, Vicinage 15.

During law school, Rob was an active member of the moot court board and selected to compete in two national moot court competitions. He has devoted significant time to pro bono work at the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, the Employment Advocacy Project, and the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project, where he taught a year-long high school course on oral advocacy and constitutional law.
