Salam Awwad represents a broad range of corporate clients in all aspects of civil litigation with an emphasis on defending against claims involving engineered stone exposure and silicosis. She also handles personal injury, product liability, and toxic tort matters, including asbestos and talc litigation, as well as landlord-tenant cases. Salam adeptly conducts and defends depositions, manages extensive discovery, and is well-versed in filing motions and negotiating settlements. She believes it is a privilege to practice law, prioritizes staying in constant contact with clients, and is committed to providing zealous, efficient advocacy to achieve favorable outcomes aligned with their objectives.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Salam represented defendants in California Proposition 65 matters, effectively handling all stages of litigation. During law school, she gained valuable, hands-on experience working directly with clients through participation in various legal clinics, including the Employment Law Clinic, the Criminal Law Clinic, and the Disability Law Clinic. In addition, Salam interned with various human rights–based nonprofit organizations and government agencies focused on defending government whistleblowers.
