Sam Mahler represents insurance carriers in a wide range of professional liability coverage disputes. His practice focuses on insurance coverage determinations and bad faith litigation arising under directors and officers (D&O) policies and errors and omissions (E&O) policies.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Sam was a research assistant to professors at the University of Connecticut School of Law and the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where he contributed to the Directors & Officers Coverage Litigation Tracker. In addition, Sam was published in the 2025 Connecticut Law Review for his Note: "The (Quorum) Call is Coming from Inside the House: Incongruity Between the Current Interpretation of the Quorum Clause and the Supreme Court’s First Congress Canon."
