Shirley Duran defends businesses and individuals in a broad range of civil litigation matters. Her practice focuses on automobile liability, premises liability, wrongful death, and negligent security claims.

Before joining Wilson Elser, Shirley represented plaintiffs in personal injury matters from pre-suit through litigation. Her experience on the plaintiff side provides her with valuable insight into claim development, case valuation, and litigation strategy, enabling her to anticipate opposing counsel’s approach and develop practical defense strategies for her clients.

Before becoming an attorney, Shirley spent nearly five years working as a paralegal in the insurance litigation field. During that time, she assisted with first-party property insurance disputes and windshield glass claims, gaining substantial experience with insurance-related matters and the litigation process.
