Alex F. Resnak

Lee Washburn (Partner-Atlanta) and Atlanta Associates Taylor Hanks and Alex Resnak successfully defended a case in the State Court of DeKalb County, Georgia. A light fixture fell from the ceiling in an event space and struck the plaintiff during her son's wedding, causing her to suffer serious injuries and require surgical intervention. Through the course of discovery, Lee and his team identified and developed evidence demonstrating our client, the retailer of the light fixture, had no liability and had not done anything to contribute to the plaintiff's injuries. They filed a Motion for Summary Judgment on all claims. The plaintiff ultimately had no basis to oppose their motion, which the court granted, entering summary judgment in our client's favor on all claims.
