Alexis Lezama handles first-party and commercial property insurance defense matters as well as general liability cases. She also has experience in an array of complex and catastrophic claims involving wrongful death, uninsured motorists, automobile and trucking accidents, premises liability and other general liability claims.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Alexis was an associate at a large defense firm working on first-party residential and commercial property insurance defense claims in which she provided coverage opinions and handled cases from inception through resolution. Additionally, Alexis represented insurance companies in personal injury and general liability matters. At another firm, she served as Supervisory Counsel for out-of-state trucking and personal injury matters.

Alexis began her career serving as Senior Attorney for the Department of Children and Families, where she advocated for children while handling a multi-circuit caseload in dependency matters from inception through resolution, including several trials on termination of parental rights.

While in law school, Alexis worked as a certified legal intern for the Office of Criminal Conflict & Civil Regional Counsel for the First District Court of Appeal where she assisted in handling the defense for misdemeanor and felony charges.
