Allison R. Graffeo

Allison Graffeo is a seasoned medical malpractice attorney who also manages several firmwide national insurance accounts.

Allison focuses her practice on the defense of medical malpractice and related professional liability claims. During her tenure at Wilson Elser, she has represented multiple New York metropolitan hospital systems and their affiliated professionals in hundreds of matters. She also defends private clinicians, long-term care facilities, outpatient therapy providers, and medical spa practitioners. Allison handles medical malpractice matters from inception through trial and is an active member of the firm’s Appellate Practice, having briefed and argued multiple appeals.

Allison also manages and oversees several nationwide insurance programs, serving as the firm’s lead attorney and liaison for various accounts. These programs span diverse lines of business, including general liability, employment practices liability, director and officers liability, professional liability, cyber risk, and insurance coverage.

Allison is active in attorney mentoring and education. She has developed and presented continuing legal education (CLE) courses for attorneys and clients on topics including motion practice, medical malpractice defense, risk management, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). She has also participated in mock trials at New York medical institutions to educate health care professionals on best practices in litigation and risk management.
