Antonella Dessi dedicates her Program Management practice to the resolution of insurance coverage matters, with a current focus on lawyers’ professional liability claims. She advises international and domestic insurers from the inception of a claim to its conclusion, participating in settlement negotiations and monitoring matters that proceed to litigation. Antonella also is responsible for preparing claims bordereaux and for providing guidance to insurers on various issues.
Throughout her career, Antonella has successfully resolved hundreds of claims under a variety of professional liability policies covering directors and officers, attorneys, real estate agents and brokers, design professionals and employers. She also has experience handling life, health and disability coverage matters.
Antonella keeps her clients informed at all times throughout the claims process to help ensure their participation in and satisfaction with decisions made regarding resolution strategy, reserve setting and other such issues. Antonella prides herself on being highly responsive to client needs and finding cost-effective resolutions early on in the claims management process, thereby saving clients thousands of dollars and months of avoidable litigation.

Antonella represents LPL insurers in a multitude of claims against their insureds involving dozens of practice areas. She also has extensive experience handling bar complaints, the resolution of which directly impacts the reputation and livelihood of her clients’ insureds.
Social Engineering Fraud
Antonella’s wide-ranging experience in insurance coverage includes matters involving social engineering fraud, an emerging risk in the liability insurance industry that tends to target real estate professionals. Antonella works with clients and their insureds to educate them up-front regarding the risk in an effort to avoid such claims. When social engineering fraud does occur, Antonella works with insurers and policyholders to minimize losses and to recover funds when and where possible.
