Ashley Gilmore focuses her practice on the representation of insurance carriers in coverage matters arising from directors and officers, errors and omissions, lawyers’ liability, commercial general liability, and employment practices liability policies.

In connection with these matters, Ashley advises on policy interpretation, coverage determinations, claims handling, settlement negotiations and bad faith avoidance. She represents clients in federal and state court litigation involving contractual and extra-contractual claims on a nationwide basis. A former appellate law clerk, she also handles insurance coverage matters on appeal at both the state and federal level.

Ashley provides clients with creative strategies designed to bring about the efficient resolution of insurance coverage disputes. Her effectiveness as a writer of motions and briefs has resulted in numerous favorable summary judgment and appellate decisions on behalf of the firm’s insurance carrier clients. On each litigation matter she handles, Ashley strives to narrow the issues through dispositive motions in order to position the case for favorable resolution and avoid prolonged and costly litigation.
