Blake Crawford handles insurance coverage matters with an emphasis on commercial general liability and business auto liability claims. Blake also has extensive experience with professional liability claims, including directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, professional malpractice and financial institution claims. He also has significant experience handling coverage matters under cyber risk, homeowners, personal and commercial automobile, UIM/UM, and various first-party insurance policies.
Blake has contributed to an annual article on insurance coverage that appears in the SMU Law Review Annual Texas Survey: Insurance Law. The Survey serves as a tool for legal practitioners in the development of Texas Jurisprudence. Each issue includes articles from law professors, attorneys and judges concerning a concise presentation of the present state of Texas law.

Blake has devoted his career to coverage-related disputes, including coverage determinations, claims handling, settlement negotiations and bad faith avoidance. He also handles coverage litigation in federal and state courts involving contractual and extra-contractual claims on a nationwide basis. In his career, Blake has represented both insurers and policyholders in various coverage matters, from the initial evaluation of coverage issues through final disposition of disputes at the appellate level.
