With 13 years of civil litigation experience, Catherine O’Hern has built a practice defending clients in medical and professional malpractice, third-party construction litigation, and insurance coverage dispute matters in both state and federal courts. Catherine currently focuses her practice on defending clients in transportation and premises liability matters.

Appellate
In addition to her extensive trial court litigation practice, Catherine has substantial appellate experience, including successfully opposing petitions for certification in the Supreme Court of New Jersey and petitions for certiorari before the Supreme Court of the United States.

Medical Malpractice
Catherine has successfully defended high-exposure medical malpractice matters involving novel damage theories, which include obtaining rulings barring plaintiffs from pursuing claims for “loss of nighttime companion services” under New Jersey law.
