Colleen Dougherty is a civil litigator who focuses her practices on the defense of large and small businesses in asbestos, construction defect, and toxic tort matters. After spending years practicing as personal counsel, staff counsel for a national insurer, and panel counsel, she has a unique perspective regarding out-of-the-box strategies and a common-sense approach to the defense of clients.
Colleen has successfully defended several manufacturers of construction products in asbestos matters and a large manufacturer of aircraft and spacecraft parts in toxic tort litigation. Much of her construction knowledge comes from her vast experience in litigating construction defect matters throughout California, as well as property damage and subrogation cases. Colleen has represented general contractors, subcontractors, and manufacturers in all aspects of litigation with great success. In addition, Colleen has had the unique opportunity to act as a co-mediator in resolving numerous construction defect cases. These unique experiences and years of litigating difficult cases in different areas of the law make Colleen a fierce advocate for her clients.
