Areas of Focus

Utilities/Energy
Eric has 20+ years of experience advising clients in the utility and energy industries – such as natural gas and electric distribution companies and propane retailers – in incident investigations; claims for wrongful death, personal injury and property damage; and associated claims for indemnity and insurance coverage. In addition to catastrophic accidents, his experience representing public utilities includes claims arising from third-party damage, dig-ins, line contact, vegetation management, outages, carbon monoxide and other incidents that arise during the course of utility operations. Eric regularly attends, participates in and presents at industry-related events.

Complex Tort & General Casualty
Eric has represented clients in a variety of casualty and general liability matters involving catastrophic injuries and/or significant property or economic losses, including tort claims, product liability, transportation and premises liability.

Product Liability / Fire & Explosion Litigation
Eric has extensive experience representing clients in matters that involve or require collaboration with engineers and scientists. Whether it involves a working knowledge of NFPA 921, materials science, human factors or other disciplines that may be needed to successfully represent a client, Eric relishes working with these experts to accurately assess the issues in a given case and developing an effective presentation of the issues.
