Michelle Bedoya (Associate-Orlando, FL) will present “Diversity and Cross-Cultural Claims Handling,” on December 7, 2021 for The Institutes® CPCU Society. This one-hour program will introduce participants to the components of cultural competency, including cross-cultural communication, conflict resolution and flexibility. Michelle will explain the value and application of cultural competence principles in claims management and their role in the claims handling service model. The session will conclude with a participant self-assessment of cultural perceptions and comfort levels with people from other cultures.
