Emily Aguero (Partner-Denver) and Kathleen Warin (Partner-Washington, DC) copresented the continuing education webinar “Early Use of Expert Witnesses” for client AXA XL on September 23, 2025. Emily and Kathleen discussed the benefits of early expert witness engagement, particularly in construction defect and product liability litigation. They emphasized that retaining experts early in a case can significantly strengthen the defense by providing valuable information to support initial motions, guiding targeted discovery, and aiding in early case evaluation. The webinar also examined how early expert input can help identify technical issues, preserve critical evidence, and assess potential exposure – ultimately positioning the defense for a more efficient and effective resolution.
