This Wilson Elser panel will cover the major new employment laws including COVID-19 return-to-office policies, cannabis drug testing policies, and other emerging areas such as changes in discrimination statutes and permissible language in settlement agreements in key states, such as New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia, and in Washington, DC. Panelists will review the new requirements and evaluate the intersection between the new state laws and federal laws, and discuss their impact on employers’ obligations in each jurisdiction.
