Grant Thornhill is a litigation partner in the firm’s Dallas office. Since 2012, Grant has successfully resolved hundreds of matters involving transportation, general liability, and insurance coverage disputes. Grant currently serves as lead counsel for a multinational technology company in cases throughout Texas.

Grant is proficient at solving difficult problems and helping companies resolve cases as efficiently as possible. When early resolution is not possible, Grant methodically litigates cases to conclusion through mediation, dispositive motion practice, or trial. Grant has first-chair trial experience and frequently handles complex cases with multimillion-dollar exposure.

Areas of Focus

Transportation
Grant is a member of the firm’s Transportation Practice. Before joining Wilson Elser, he was Of Counsel at a Texas civil trial firm, where he defended trucking companies in hundreds of cases throughout Texas. Grant has extensive knowledge about accident reconstruction, biomechanics, fleet safety standards, and federal motor carrier safety regulations. Grant oversees emergency responses and pre-suit investigations for commercial vehicle accidents throughout Texas. 

General Liability
Grant has extensive knowledge and experience defending general liability claims against commercial property owners, commercial tenants, landowners, homeowners, contractors, hotels, apartment complexes, childcare facilities, churches, restaurants, and other businesses.

Commercial Litigation
Grant’s practice also includes defending commercial and breach of contract lawsuits, as well as reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
