James Terpak is an experienced litigator representing individuals and businesses in all aspects of civil litigation. His practice focuses on the defense of claims involving complex litigation in various areas, including New York Labor Law disputes and insurance defense.

Before joining Wilson Elser, James was a law clerk for the Honorable Devin P. Cohen in the New York State Supreme Court, Second Judicial District, Kings County, where he conducted research and drafted documents and memoranda on a wide range of legal topics. Previously, James worked at Morgan Stanley, handling hedge fund administration. He gained valuable experience at a Virginia firm where his concentration was real estate law and litigation related to commercial transactions, land development and zoning.
