His national practice focuses on the defense of claims involving or related to commercial and general aviation, fixed-base operations, airport, charter operators, aviation fuel farm logistics, air traffic control operations, aircraft and component manufacturers, maintenance facilities, and fixed-wing and rotary aircraft. In addition to legal strategies and tactics, Jim relies on more than 15 years of experience planning and implementing crisis communications strategies for national organizations to effectively resolve matters for his clients.

An adjunct professor at the Texas A&M University School of Law since 2014, Jim primarily teaches  legal analysis, research, and writing courses.
