Jane Bendle Lucero

Jane Bendle Lucero specializes in civil litigation defense, with a focus on personal injury cases, primarily auto accidents and premises liability claims for insureds through their carriers. Jane also is monitoring counsel for London Market insurers. In her monitoring role, Jane provides analysis and evaluation of claim exposure, assists carrier and defense counsel with litigation strategy, monitors defense costs, and works to maximize claim settlement opportunities.

Jane also has experience with defamation, wrongful death, construction liability, trucking liability, product liability, intellectual property, insurance bad faith, construction defect and toxic tort claims. A true team player, Jane places great stock in the caliber of the people with whom she works, knowing her ability to rely on them enhances her performance. 

Jane is much in demand as a presenter at CLE programs, notably for the Colorado Bar Association and the National Business Institute. She is a contributing author to Colorado Civil Claims: Elements, Defenses and Sample Pleadings, 2019 Edition, CBA-CLE (CLE in Colorado, Inc.). 

Before joining Wilson Elser, Jane was a partner in a prominent Denver civil defense firm serving insurers, businesses and professionals. In addition to private practice, Jane has experience as in-house counsel for one of the largest American insurance companies.
