Jeffrey Hill is an accomplished litigator who focuses his practice on the defense of claims related to general liability, premises liability, product liability, and commercial litigation. He also effectively handles professional liability matters, including litigation involving directors and officers, and lawyers, among other professionals. He prides himself on building strong, collaborative relationships with the attorneys and professionals he represents, combining their knowledge, skill, and experience with his own to craft defense strategies tailored to each case's unique circumstances.

Jeff also has extensive experience advising insurance companies on coverage-related matters, including coverage determinations, claims handling, settlement negotiations, and bad faith avoidance. Insurer clients frequently call on Jeff to assist special investigations units in assessing claims in coverage matters, due to his strong background in criminal investigations and prosecution.

In addition to his litigation practice, Jeff is well-versed in alternative dispute resolution methods. He assists clients in all matters related to domestic and international arbitration and holds an LL.M. degree in International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Jeff was in-house counsel for Allstate Insurance, primarily handling first- and third-party claims, including those with demands exceeding $1 million. Jeff began his career as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney with the Rockwall County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted a broad range of matters, including complex felony cases with fact patterns spanning more than 10 years. He also tried more than 40 jury cases as an ADA, achieving a 93% success rate.
