Jodi Terranova (Partner-Washington, D.C.) is DRI’s National Director and Co-Vice Chair of its Membership Committee. In “The Importance of Membership in a Pandemic,” which appeared in the August 12, 2020, edition of DRI’s The Voice, Jodi recounts her experiences during the COVID-19 shutdown, from creating a new routine for her four-year-old autistic son, who thrives on consistency and needs school for socialization, to moving her work life to Zoom meetings, which made her feel connected to her daily practice of law from a beanbag chair. Although her life still feels far from normal, Jodi is grateful for her connections to DRI and its members as she looks forward to the upcoming virtual DRI Medical Liability and Health Care Law Seminar and the virtual Annual Meeting in October. “I hope you will join me,” she tells her colleagues, “for a bit of normalcy.”
