John Danos has more than fifteen years of experience litigating complex matters in state and federal courts and in arbitration. He has handled a wide variety of cases and has extensive experience representing clients in commercial, product liability, environmental and intellectual property disputes. John also has handled numerous consumer class actions, including class actions coordinated into multidistrict litigation. John has represented clients in courts throughout California and across the country.

Leveraging the breadth and depth of his experience, John provides clients with creative and cost-effective approaches to the successful resolution of litigation and its underlying disputes. John is highly responsive to clients' business needs and works with them to understand their objectives so that success can be clearly defined and achieved.

Commercial & Business Litigation
John represents clients with respect to a wide variety of claims, including breach of contract, fraud, unfair competition, unfair business practices, trade secret misappropriation and other business torts.

Class Action
John has extensive experience defending corporate clients in class action litigation. He has represented clients in consumer class actions involving Internet security products, mobile telephone content and mortgage-related services. John also has defended clients in toxic tort class action litigation. His class action experience includes handling multiple related class actions coordinated in multidistrict litigation.

Intellectual Property
John has represented a variety of clients with respect to intellectual property litigation, particularly with respect to Internet-related products and e-commerce. John’s experience includes defending a software company with respect to copyright infringement claims related to its health care claims processing software; defending an Internet domain name provider against copyright and trademark infringement claims; prosecuting infringement claims on behalf of a magazine publisher with respect to online content; and defending patent infringement claims with respect to a modem component.

Environmental
John has defended clients with respect to environmental accidents and alleged toxic torts. He served as environmental counsel to a major oil company concerning an oil spill, representing the client in regulatory actions, government investigations and litigation. John also successfully defeated class certification on behalf of a chemical manufacturer with respect to toxic tort claims.
