Kevin Heffernan is an accomplished trial lawyer with deep experience in complex litigation and catastrophic injury cases, inverse condemnation, property rights, construction, fire claims, trucking, products liability, premises liability, first-party claims, and insurance bad faith. Kevin has successfully tried more than 40 cases to jury verdict in California’s state courts, and he has litigated federal court cases as well. He has been a member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) since 2001.
Kevin has been first-chair trial counsel in jury and bench trials involving quadriplegia, wrongful death, insurance bad faith, property disputes, inverse condemnation, and commercial disputes. His recent results include a $13 million recovery in an equitable indemnification matter and a victory on appeal on behalf of a public entity in an inverse condemnation case.
In addition, Kevin has served as a volunteer mediator for the Los Angeles County Superior Court and is called upon regularly to participate in high-stakes trials in the closing hours.
