Leonardo Husid represents individuals and businesses in a wide array of civil litigation. Leonardo’s clients include Fortune 500 entities, including vertical transportation companies and electrical suppliers. He manages cases from inception to resolution, handling all aspects of discovery, including the preparation and defense of depositions, drafting and arguing motions, and all aspects of trial preparation. In addition, Leonardo handles commercial litigation and contract negotiations, helping businesses resolve complex legal challenges to achieve specific business goals.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Leonardo practiced at two prominent boutique civil litigation firms in California, representing Fortune 500 clients, including large insurance companies, vertical transportation and electrical businesses, and security firms.

Before his legal career in the United States, Leonardo held legal consulting and senior management roles at engineering and project management companies involved in complex construction and real estate development projects in South America. He also worked in Canada as an owner’s representative and project manager responsible for risk management and loss exposure control for a venture involving more than $100 million in construction work and more than $60 million in transferred assets. Further, Leonardo’s past work at one of the largest vertical transportation companies in the world provides him with valuable insight into the various phases of the construction lifecycle in developing strategic defenses to combat breach of contract and catastrophic injury claims.

In the product liability and premises liability areas, Leonardo has successfully handled catastrophic injury cases brought against manufacturers of vertical transportation products, such as elevators and escalators.
