Lioba Bakker represents businesses and individuals in a broad range of civil litigation matters. Her practice focuses on defending claims related to cybersecurity, data protection, and privacy.
Before joining Wilson Elser, Lioba worked at a plaintiff’s litigation firm in Southern California, where she managed cases involving consumer warranty protection. She focused on automotive warranty matters in California state and federal courts.
Lioba practiced law in her native country, the Netherlands, before becoming an attorney in California. During her undergraduate studies, she trained with the Top Sport Academy Amsterdam, which recognized her as a top-class student athlete. She also received top‑class athlete status and National Talent recognition from the Dutch Olympic Committee, distinctions awarded to competitors performing at the highest national levels.
