Madeeha Syed represents clients in complex, high-stakes litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on the defense of general liability, premises liability, and construction liability claims. She also represents transportation providers, trucking companies, and commercial fleet operators in a wide range of litigation matters, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death actions. In addition, Madeeha has expanded her practice to insurance coverage disputes and bad faith matters, providing strategic guidance on policy interpretation, coverage analysis, and litigation avoidance.

Madeeha brings extensive experience litigating cases in New York state and federal courts, including the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She is a skilled advocate in all phases of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal, and has a proven track record of resolving matters efficiently through alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration. Known for her shrewd negotiation skills and tenacious client advocacy, Madeeha is committed to achieving the most favorable, equitable outcomes for her clients. From the inception of each case, she employs a proactive, results-driven approach, ensuring thorough case preparation, aggressive motion practice, and meticulous trial readiness.

Before joining Wilson Elser, Madeeha cultivated a diverse, well-rounded legal background spanning multiple practice areas, including medical malpractice defense, general liability, criminal defense, tax law, business associations, and workers’ compensation law. She began her legal career as an associate at a criminal defense litigation firm in New York City, where she served as a court-appointed attorney through the Assigned Counsel Program, representing indigent clients in criminal proceedings. She subsequently joined a civil litigation firm in Arlington, Virginia, broadening her experience in complex civil matters. Madeeha also served as a tax law editor for Bloomberg BNA (now Bloomberg Industry Group), where she honed her legal research, writing, and analytical skills. She later returned to New York City and joined a boutique law firm, concentrating her practice on medical malpractice defense and premises liability before bringing the full breadth of her experience to Wilson Elser.
