Data Security & Privacy
Matt advises and represents businesses in a variety of matters relating to data security and privacy laws. He assists entities in responding to cybersecurity and data privacy incidents and complying with notification laws and regulations involving inadvertent disclosure of information. He is CIPP/US certified through the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Cybersecurity & Data Breach Class Actions
Matt has represented organizations in privacy litigation and data breach class actions filed in state and federal courts around the country, including consolidated and multidistrict litigation. He obtained the dismissal of a class action arising out of a data security incident involving a university. Matt has successfully mediated and settled nationwide class actions on favorable terms for clients.

Commercial Law
Matt routinely represents clients in complex commercial matters, business disputes, contract disputes and consumer protection matters. He has handled cases under the Lanham Act, False Claims Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, Truth in Lending Act and Fair Billing Practices Act.
