Lateral Partner Joins Wilson Elser’s Appellate Team in New York

Megan Boyar handles general liability matters, focusing her practice on premises liability, defense of veterinary malpractice claims, construction and New York Labor Law, automobile accidents and transportation.
One of nearly 70 attorneys in Wilson Elser’s Transportation Practice nationwide, Megan’s skills are directed at achieving a successful result from the outset. Megan is committed to working closely with her clients in assessing risk exposure to minimize liability and in the development of legal strategies to obtain favorable results. Megan joined Wilson Elser from the New York office of a full-service AmLaw 100 law firm with offices across the United States.
Megan serves as a regional representative for the firm’s WAVE (Women Attorneys Valued & Empowered) Employee Resource Group.
Representative Matters
Obtained dismissal of Labor Law 200, 240 and 241(6) claim against client by successfully demonstrating that contract was unenforceable.
Obtained dismissal of Labor Law 200, 240 and 241(6) claim by successfully demonstrating work being performed by client was not protected under the Labor Law.
Successfully defended driver who struck a bicyclist in plaintiff-friendly venue by establishing bicyclist’s conduct led to the accident and caused his injuries.
