Mellis Bakir represents clients in a wide array of complex civil litigation matters. She defends businesses and individuals against claims of negligence related to premises liability, motor vehicle liability, construction defects, and product liability. Mellis has successfully defended clients in courts throughout New Jersey and New York and has significant experience handling all stages of civil litigation from case inception to completion.
Mellis began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Organized Criminal Activities Bureau in the Bronx, New York. During law school, she was the Managing Editor of the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University Law Review and competed internationally on the Willem C. Vis International Moot Court Competition Team representing her school.
