Monica Castillo has 25 years of experience handling complex civil litigation. Monica represents individuals, businesses, corporations and municipalities across general liability areas. She is adept in handling large and small personal injury matters, including wrongful death actions, vehicle and bicycle accidents, and slip-and-fall cases. Monica has substantial experience in litigating breach of contract, construction, and finance-related elder abuse matters, and prides herself on partnering with clients to achieve optimal results. She is strategic in her approach, using her well-honed skills throughout all aspects of litigation, from inception to resolution.
Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Monica worked as a supervising attorney providing legal assistance for the elderly in San Francisco. Monica’s previous experience includes practicing at various firms and a major insurance company in the San Francisco Bay area. As a partner at a Burlingame, California, firm for a decade, Monica gained valuable experience in pre-litigation resolution and successfully attained six-figure settlements in state and federal courts.
Monica volunteers as a Judge Pro Tem in the Superior Court of California, County of San Mateo, where she presides over small claims and matters on the traffic trial and traffic arraignment calendars as requested by the court.
