Ian Stewart (Partner-Los Angeles) provided some insights on how the sessions for this year’s CLM Annual Conference were selected in CLM Magazine’s article “CLM’s Annual Conference Is Nearly Here. What Does This Year’s Event Hold for Attendees?” Ian is a member of the Education Committee for the event, which will take place March 13 – March 15 2019.

• “Ideas included artificial intelligence and next-generation litigation management technology,” says Ian. “We also had pitches on natural disasters, active shooter situations, transportation trends in self-driving vehicles and fully automated truck fleets, and the #MeToo movement.”
• “Millennials have always been a hot topic, but I think what we’re seeing now is a focus on Generation Z, and how they will affect the employment picture over the next decade.”
• “It’s no longer a question of ‘if’ cannabis will be federally legal; it’s probably going to be within the next year.” Ian will present on cannabis claims in, “Cannabis, CBD, and Hemp Go Global – Opportunities for Insurance and Legal Professionals.”
