Parks Stone (Partner-Atlanta, GA) and Eleanor Jolley (Of Counsel-Atlanta, GA) defended the firm’s self-storage facility client sued for allegedly failing to provide sufficient security at its facility where the plaintiff’s unit was tampered with and his property stolen. Through the course of discovery, Parks and Eleanor highlighted the functional security on the property, the client’s compliance with industry standards and the lack of foreseeability of the alleged third-party criminal conduct. The Fulton County Superior Court agreed and granted summary judgment, dismissing all counts against the insured.
