James T. Tucker (Of Counsel-Las Vegas, NV | Phoenix, AZ) was named Chair of the U.S. Census Bureau’s National Advisory Committee on Racial, Ethnic and other Populations (NAC). Jim has served on the NAC since 2016. The committee considers a range of topics, including race and ethnicity, hard-to-reach populations, populations affected by natural disaster, and data privacy and confidentiality, to name a few. Jim’s Census experience includes serving as Pro Bono Voting Rights Counsel to the Native American Rights Fund and co-leading the counsel’s efforts for the 2020 Census as well writing many census publications. The representation of tribes is one of Jim’s main practice areas.
